Reggie Van Lee, Development Chair
Reggie Van Lee is a Partner and the Chief Transformation Officer of The Carlyle Group, focused on helping the firm develop new and innovative ways to enhance business processes.
Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Van Lee retired as Senior Partner and Executive Vice President of Booz Allen Hamilton, after 32 years with the global management and technology consulting firm.
Mr. Van Lee is a member of the board of directors of the Gospel Music Haus & Museum, Fortitude Re, Gallup Inc, Deep Labs, OmniSpeech, the Women’s Venture Capital Fund II, National CARES Mentoring Movement, the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (appointed by President Barack Obama), Blair House Restoration Fund, and the Studio Museum in Harlem. He also serves as the Chair of the Washington DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, appointed by Mayor Muriel Bowser, and Chairman and Co-Founder of the Black Theatre Coalition. Formerly, he served as Chair of the board of Washington Performing Arts and Vice Chair of the board of the Washington Ballet.
Mr. Van Lee holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from MIT and an MBA from Harvard University.
