Michael L. Pickett

Music, Ministry, and Publishing have been the major focus of Michael’s life’s work. He has served on the staffs of churches since 1975 as a musician, offered his services as a self-taught graphic designer, and since 1998 served as an associate minister. He has owned and operated a small business, Music of Ministry Publishing Company (MOMPCO) since 1995. He is an accomplished pianist, songwriter, and vocalist with a 2008 recording entitled “Michael L. Pickett and Friends: The Garment of Praise” which may be found on most digital platforms. Mike’s graphic design skills have created a portfolio with a nationwide clientele which includes many Gospel Artists and religious organizations, The City of Baltimore, The City of Houston, and Houston Airport System, and a 2015 publishing award for a music book. He currently serves as associate minister and Minister of Music on staff at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas; sits on the Board of Directors of Gospel Music Haus and Museum of Houston, Texas; and serves as 2nd Vice President of National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses, Inc. (also known as the Dorsey Convention).
