Gospel Music Haus and Museum Board of Directors and Endorsing Partners are saddened to hear of the passing of a city of Houston and national treasure in the person of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. While her public service on the national and citywide level have been extensive, impactful and profound during her lifetime, her support for Gospel Music Haus and Museum has been prodigious from idea to inception as well. Her most recent work for our financial support has garnered our largest contribution to date, and we pledge to symbolize her memory in a tangible way in the near future. We pray for her closest family and friends during this time of bereavement, and we celebrate a life well lived in public service for the betterment of mankind.
